Head, Heart, Harmony: A Musician’s Journey Back to Balance
Meet Yero McClinton — a gifted musician whose talent is matched only by his passion and energy. But just a few months ago, Yero was navigating daily life with a heavy burden: severe neck and shoulder pain, chronic insomnia, sinus congestion, jaw tension, anxiety, and frequent headaches.
When he first walked into our office, his cervical spine X-ray revealed a forward head carriage of nearly 3 inches, a condition called anterior head carriage. In his initial side-view cervical X-ray, the red line shows where his head actually was—while the green line indicates the optimal position. His posture placed immense strain on his muscles, nerves, and joints.
X-Ray Findings:
Side View: ~3 inches of anterior head carriage
AP View: Significant misalignment contributing to chronic discomfort
But transformation was around the corner.
After a personalized chiropractic care plan, including adjustments, postural training, and home care, Yero’s anterior head carriage reduced by nearly 50% — a remarkable shift! His latest images show a strong return toward spinal balance.
His Story: Pain Has a History
Many of Yero’s symptoms began after surviving a traumatic encounter with police brutality.
It wasn’t just physical pain — it was the result of a body pushed into survival mode. The kind of chronic stress that follows systemic injustice can leave deep imprints: insomnia, jaw tension, emotional exhaustion, and nervous system dysregulation.
As a Black man, artist, and community leader, Yero has carried the weight of much more than posture. His spine was not just misaligned from ergonomics — it was holding years of lived experience in a society that too often devalues his life and voice.
What we often see in clinic are not isolated aches — but pain that is deeply personal and deeply systemic.
Chiropractic care became a turning point. Not just a physical adjustment, but a form of reclamation — of peace, of rest, of rhythm.
Today, Yero reports:
Mild, manageable discomfort
Deeper, more restful sleep
Fewer headaches
Clearer thinking and more daytime energy
Improved mood and less anxiety
This is the power of alignment — where pain gives way to clarity, and the body begins to shed what no longer serves it.
Just like music, healing happens in rhythm. Yero’s journey is a testament to how the body can transform with the right care and intention.
The Soundtrack of Healing
To honor Yero’s journey back to rhythm, here’s one of his songs that uplifts, grounds, and flows with intention.
Whether you’re moving through your own healing, working in the studio, or just need a moment of clarity — let this be your backdrop.
